Artists and poets are invited to display original works addressing the life of Martin Luther King, Jr., civil rights issues, social issues, or peace in any art form. Relay for Life encourages teams of friends, neighbors, families, and co-workers to join together to raise money to fight cancer. The objective is for at least one member of each team to walk (or run) around the track for the entire event, symbolizing the fact that cancer never sleeps.
