A youngster celebrates Veterans Day Friday evening, Nov. 11, by enjoying the South Dakota High School Football championships held at the DakotaDome in Vermillion. Before the kickoff of the 9AA championship game, tributes were held to honor both past and present members of the armed services. 2. South Dakota quarterback Dante Warren escapes a Missouri S&T defender during their play Saturday at the DakotaDome. Warren led the Coyotes to a 48-14 victory in the home finale for USD. 3. The dining area of the Hy-Vee Food Store in Vermillion was filled beyond capacity at times as the store honored local veterans on the morning of Veterans Day, Nov. 11, with a free breakfast. 4.
