Lawson, will be held from 3-5 p.m. in the Community Room of the Vermillion Public Library. Copies of the book are available at the Circulation Desk. Jamie Sullivan, Mount Marty professor, will be facilitating the discussion. Cherry St. from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. The JSAP is designed to assist and train job seekers on how to find and secure employment. Some of the topics included are job search and retention skills, networking, the hidden job market, resumes, applications, and proper interview techniques. NOTICE REGARDING BURNING IN CLAY COUNTY Due to the extremely dry conditions the Clay County Board of Commissioners has passed a Resolution Banning all Open Burning within the County effective immediately, July 19, 2012 until further notice and would like to remind all residents as to the pertinent laws regarding burning. South Dakota law provides that it is a Class 2 misdemeanor for a person to negligently allow a fire to spread. It is also a Class 2 misdemeanor to burn without giving due caution to the weather conditions. In addition to criminal sanctions, a person who negligently causes a fire to be started or spread is liable for all fire suppression and extinguishments costs.
