Tony said the church’s Baby Closet is a place where families can come to get one pack of diapers and wet wipes each month. Other items, such as clothing, shoes, socks, and other baby-related things are available thanks to donations from families in the community. Tony said everyone in the community is welcome to help out the Baby Closet. The “diaper ministry,” as he calls it, has been supported financially by the Faith Fellowship congregation these past three years, allowing families with infants and toddlers to receive 30 to 40 packs of diapers each month. “This ministry has been a great opportunity to help meet the needs of citizens in a practical way and we have heard how often it has blessed those who are able to use it,” Tony said. “We have also had many opportunities to connect families in need with other resources and groups in our community.” There are many ways the community may get involved in the church’s effort to make sure the ridal Bctory ire D Special Occasions and Wedding Rentals, Invitations, Set-Ups & Take Downs The Looking Glass needs of families with young children are met, he said. “I guess I would ask people and even local businesses if there is any way they would be willing to help out, such as volunteering, holding a diaper drive, making a financial donation, etc., we would love to work with you,” Tony said. People or businesses that wish to make financial donations may write checks to the Baby Closet, as the church has established an account to be used only for the purchase of diapers and wet wipes. All donations are tax deductible and donors will receive a financial giving record from the church. “We also invite people to spread the word to others who may be interested in helping or who have the need of help,” Tony said. People seeking more information may reach Tony at 624-2921, or 6244116. “We really, really love being able to help people and build relationships,” he said. The Baby Closet is open at the church on the second Saturday of each month. It is also open by appointment for those who call the church.
