Vermillion High

The mission of the
Vermillion School
District is “To empower
all students to maximize
their success in our global
community.” With this in
mind, the state is
mandating additional
offerings for graduation
starting in the fall of 2013
to include some sort of
Senior Experience. This
might take the form of
becoming a mentor or
providing job shadowing
and internship
opportunities. .
In order to assist the
district with the
implementation and
sustainability of such a
program, we are
requesting adults and

Meals on Wheels needs
your help. Vermillion
Meals on Wheels, like
other towns participating
in the nutrition project of
Dakota Senior Meals, is
struggling to survive. The
state and federal
government provide
approximately 40 percent
of the actual cost to
prepare each meal. The
rest of the cost comes
from local sources.
You can help make a
difference. Make a
donation or enjoy a
nutritional, “home
cooked” meal by the
Vermillion Dakota Senior
Meals at the Main Street
Center. Meals can also be
delivered to individuals
and couples that are
unable to leave their
home.
