Sunday evening Experience
at ONE HOUR is comprised of
two primary elements: powerful
worship and a life-changing
message. Worship at ONE
HOUR is led by a talented live
band in a style that is consistent with todays culture and a
relevant teaching message
from LifeChurch.tv’s senior
pastor, Craig Groeschel, via
video broadcast. The worship
is intense and the teaching is
challenging but the environment will be relaxed and casual. ONE HOUR on the USD
Campus at the MUC, 6:30pm
Sundays! www.one-hour.org

Foundation drive
begins: The Clay-Union
Foundation is in its 16th
year as a mentoring
program, and has begun
several different drives.
There are two boys and
two girls who would like
to have a mentor in Elk
Point. Mentors must be
at least 18 years old, and
will be in the area at
least a year. Current EPJ
seniors who will be in
the area are eligible for
mentoring. The
volunteers spend two
hours per week with
their matches, and are
able to build a
relationship with each
other. An application is
pending for an adult
mentor from Gayville as
well.
The program also
would like to recruit an
educator from EPJ, who
is willing to serve on the
board of directors. The
board reviews
applications for
mentors, and assists
with the scholarship
program.
A fund drive has
begun to assist with the
community service
scholarship and
community fund. The
program will award its
second $500 scholarship
later this month.
Donations from current
and former residents in
Clay and Union County
are always welcome.
Donations may be sent
to John Gille, 31911 3rd
Ave., Elk Point, SD,

Meals on Wheels
needs your help.
Vermillion Meals on
Wheels, like other towns
participating in the
nutrition project of
Dakota Senior Meals, is
struggling to survive.
The state and federal
government provide
approximately 40
percent of the actual
cost to prepare each
meal. The rest of the
cost comes from local
sources. You can help
make a difference. Make
a donation or enjoy a
nutritional, “homecooked” meal by the
Vermillion Dakota
Senior Meals at the
Main Street Center.
Meals can also be
delivered to individuals
and couples that are
unable to leave their
home. To make a
donation or for more
information, call the
Nutrition Kitchen at
624-7868.
