The man was arrested and transported to the Clay County Jail. 12/09/13 15:28 – A patient was transported to the Human Services Center in Yankton for an involuntary mental health committal. 12/09/13 21:02 – A deputy responded to a 911 call from a rural residence. Upon arrival, it was found to have been an accidental dial. 12/09/13 21:53 – A deputy received a report of a spousal rape at a rural residence. The matter is under investigation and the State’s Attorney will review the case. 12/10/13 10:03 – A report was received of numerous highway signs stolen near Wakonda. 12/10/13 12:18 – An inmate was transported from the Minnehaha County Jail to the Clay County Jail after a probation violation. 12/10/13 13:00 – A deputy investigated a report of an assault in Irene. No charges were filed. 12/10/13 21:17 – Deputies received a phone alarm from an Irene business. While responding, they were informed an Irene officer checked and resolved the issue. 12/11/13 16:56 – A deputy and trooper responded along with fire units to a report from a rural resident that her ceiling collapsed on her leaving exposed wires. The woman was assisted from the room and power was shut off. 12/12/13 07:40 – A deputy located a wanted person in Vermillion. The man was arrested and transported to the jail. 12/12/13 08:40 – A deputy investigated a two-vehicle non-injury accident north of Vermillion. 12/12/13 13:55 – An inmate was transported to a doctor appointment and then was returned to the jail. 12/12/13 18:51 – A deputy assisted Vermillion police officers with a welfare check at the residence of an elderly Vermillion woman. The woman was assisted after falling. 12/13/13 19:16 – A deputy investigated a non-injury car/deer accident west of Vermillion on Highway 50. 12/14/13 10:06 – An inmate was transported to the Clay County Jail from the Yankton County Jail after a probation violation there. 12/14/13 10:26 – A deputy investigated a onevehicle rollover accident that had happened the night before.
