Please join our new VCDC Executive Director, Nate Welch, in the Fifth Annual Vermillion Special Olympic’s Polar Plunge on Saturday, March 29, at 1 p.m. at the Vermillion High School Parking Lot. Welch is excited to be “jumping right in” to the job at the VCDC and is encouraging the VCDC Members to join his team to make the plunge. The Plunge is a wonderful family and community event held each year to raise funds and awareness about Special Olympics. Help support the Special Olympics – proceeds will go to area athletes to cover travel, equipment and registration fees for area and statewide events. The cost to jump is $100 and you will receive a souvenir T-shirt and lunch. If you are too chicken to jump, you have the option of paying $50 and can skip the plunge. Prizes will be given to the best costumes in several categories. Businesses who give $100 or more will get their name on the back of the T-shirts and their business will be promoted at the event.
