Morning Ladies Golf
and Dominos Group
Submitted By
Pat Steckelberg
Wednesday, May 6, was
the first meeting of the season for the Wednesday Morning Ladies Golf and Dominos
Group.
The rain kept the golfers
off the course but luncheon
and dominoes prevailed.
There were 24 ladies present for luncheon and almost
everyone stayed for dominoes. The lunch was great
and Alex at Cherry Street is
our server this summer.
Desserts were provided
by Dori Ryan and myself (Pat
Steckelberg). The rhubarb
dessert was delicious Dori.
We had a guest our first
day.....Jan VonBonn (mother
to Nicole Mockler). Thank
you for coming Jan.
Everyone looks forward
to the drawings. Our $5
winners were: Rose Mart and
Brenda Chatham.
Quarters: Janet Hof, Kathy
Prasek, Vaneta Youngworth,
Maxine Rogers, Rose Mart,
Pat Bergland, and Mary Lea
Hennies won twice.
Dominoes: There were
4 tables and 24 fun loving
ladies today.
Rd 1: Rose Mart, Vaneta
Youngworth, Mary Lea Hennies, and Sally Gilbertson.
Rd 2: Pat Berglund, Dori

Jan Chapman.
Rd 3: Jan VonBonn, Judy
Sullivan, Joyce Zimmerman,
and Sally Gilbertson.
Total score: Pat Berglund,

It was so great to have so
many ladies here for the fun,
food and games.
Hope to see you all (and
maybe some more guests)
next week.

Donating May 15th
Community Blood Bank will be hosting a community blood
drive on Friday, May 15 at Sanford Vermillion Medical Center
(102 S. Plum St.) from 12 to 5 pm. This blood drive will benefit
the local blood supply for Sanford Vermillion.
Please consider donating blood at this blood drive. We
invite individuals that have donated multiple times as well as
those that are donating for the first time. A person can donate
blood every 56 days.
Ken Versteeg, Executive Director, Community Blood Bank
states, “Community Blood Bank uses 550 units of blood per
week to meet the needs of patients within the local area. Donating blood is a very easy way to impact a patient’s life.”
Community Blood Bank is the sole provider of blood and
blood products for 31 local hospitals including Sanford Vermil-
lion, Sanford Medical Center, Avera McKennan Hospital and
the V.A. Medical Center. Community Blood Bank is not affiliated
with other blood bank organizations and takes pride in being a
self-sufficient organization, thanks to the generosity of our local
blood donors.

signed donor consent form found at cbblifeblood.org), weigh
110 pounds or more and be in good general health the day of
the donation. Please bring an ID with you. It is recommended
that you eat and drink plenty of fluids before donating blood. It
