He received interest from three other Division 1 schools, as well as Augustanta, but he enjoyed his visit to Tempe, Arizona, and has had a relationship with ASU assistant coach, Lee Pritts, over his entire wrestling career. “I loved the atmosphere at ASU,” Galt said. “If I want to be the best wrestler that I can be, that’s where I’ve got to be.” At ASU, Galt will attempt to be a successful wrestler, but knows that it will be a tough challenge. “It is a great wrestling program and I will have to work on a lot of things,” Galt said. “If I follow the lead, I can be successful. Maybe not right away, but long term I think I will be successful there.” The Sun Devils have won the second most conference titles in Pac-12, trailing only Oregon State, but have not won a team title since 2006.
