Schools Raffle has raised over $6 million for Catholic schools in Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota.

certifications earned by experts in law
and medicine.
In 2016, the South Dakota Legislature reinstated stipends for South
Dakota National Board Certified teachers. South Dakota teachers who earn
National Board Certification receive
$2,000 per year for five years, with
$1,000 paid by the South Dakota Department of Education and $1,000 paid
by the teacher’s school district.

Public Meeting
A report from last week’s Clay County Commission
meeting. Commissioners authorized a North Dakota
architectural firm to conduct a space needs study
of the Clay County Courthouse and the
county/city public safety building.

The City is inviting the general public to discuss
possible changes to the City's Subdivision Ordinance
regarding access to streets and roads. These changes
will affect new development needing access to streets
by setting a limit on access points and the location

heated at times about the formation
of human rights commission in Vermillion.
At this meeting the City will be gathering comments
to incorporate into the new ordinance. No decisions
