"We are so excited to
welcome Professor Adler
to campus,” said Danielle
Rang, a second year law

USD’s Federalist Society
chapter. "We hope that his

OCTOBER IS DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
AWARENESS MONTH
We’re inviting everyone to
SPEAK UP AND
TAKE A STAND.
To spark change, we have to talk openly and acknowledge
how domestic abuse affects our communities, our
families and our lives. We have to be brave.
• More than 1 in 3 women and more than 1 in 4 men have experienced rape,
physical violence, and/or stalking by an intimate partner in their lifetime.
• The cost of domestic violence exceeds $5.8 billion per year.
$4.1 billion is direct medical/mental health services.
• Victims lose 8 million days of work. This equals 32,000 full-time jobs.
