Vermillion Public Library LIBRARY ACTIVITIES AND INFORMATION Book Page: America’s Book Review for January is available at the circulation desk. The Book Page features new and wellknown authors and their books, reviews in the areas of fiction, nonfiction and children’s materials, information about audio books and book clubs. Pick up your January copy soon. The Young Adult book Club is scheduled to meet on Sunday, Jan. 29 starting at 3 p.m. in the community Room of the library. Join in the fun with a book discussion, food and games. The Sanford PRIDE committee has created a cookbook, “The Healing Garden.” They are selling this book with the proceeds to be donated to the Vermillion Public Library’s new Young Adult Room as part of the expansion and renovation project. Recipes were submitted by employees, families, residents/ tenants and friends of SanfordVermillion Campus. The cost is $15. Stop by the circulation desk to purchase your copy. WEEKLY ONLINE BOOK CLUB The DearReader.com Book Club offers many selections to Internet patrons. Each book runs for five days, Monday through Friday. Some genres offer selections every other week. All that will remain then will be the Region 2A meet in Wagner on Feb. 10 and the state meet Feb. 16-17. Last Thursday YanktonBon Homme came to VHS for a dual and went home with a victory by a team score of 128.5 to 118.9. Y-BH's Charlotte Taggart was the all-around champion with a total score of 32.2. Top Tanagers in the all-around were Morgan Hower, fifth at 30.1; Jamie Moos, seventh at 28.75, and Cheyenne Mallory, eighth at 27.75. Rory Tucker was Vermillion's lone individual champion, capturing the floor exercise with an 8.3 score.
