May is
National
Military
Appreciation
Month
Gov. Dennis Daugaard
says May is National
Military Appreciation
Month, a time for all to
honor, remember, recognize
and appreciate those who
have served in the past and
those now serving, as well
as their families.
“My recent visits with
South Dakota troops in
Kuwait and Afghanistan
have given me a renewed
appreciation for their
service to our state and our
country,” Gov. Daugaard
said. “Our soldiers serve
proudly when called to duty
– both overseas and at
home. They are welltrained and determined,
and they do a remarkable
job, I couldn’t be more
proud of them.”
National Military
Appreciation Month
includes: Loyalty Day (5/1),
Victory in Europe Day
(5/8), Military Spouse
Appreciation Day (5/11),
Armed Forces Day (5/19),
and Memorial Day (5/30).
Each of those days
provides an opportunity to
learn more about military
members and the families
who have given of
themselves to support and
defend the principles we
hold dear.

“I have been commuting from Hartington, NE and working for First
National since 1999. The monthly and quarterly incentives have definitely
offset my costs for commuting! Everyone here is helpful and thoughtful
and I have made many great friends through the years. The bank offers a
great benefit package including health, dental and vision insurance along
with an unbeatable 401K package.”

“After retiring from the Air Force, I was looking for a
new career. Since I traveled a lot in my past
position, I enjoy having the opportunity to talk and help customers all over
the United States. In just two years, I have been able to increase my job
responsibilities which has provided me with even more variety in my work
day. If you enjoy helping and meeting others, this is a great place to
work.”
Denver Dodge
“The knowledgeable staff at First National are like
nothing I have ever experienced before. Much like
working with parents and students in my years as
a school teacher, educating customers on financial solutions is a very
rewarding experience. The opportunities are endless with incentive
payouts, career advancements and a variety of work shifts to choose
from.”
