pitcher Erica Denney was
named the Summit
League’s Pitcher of the
Week in a release by the
league on Monday. It is
the first SL Pitcher of the
Week honor for Denney,
who was named Great
West Pitcher of the Week
once previously.
Denney struck out six
batters in her team’s 5-1
series opening victory
against North Dakota
State on Friday. She
allowed only three hits
and one unearned run in
the complete game effort.
The Coyotes were the
only league team to beat
the Bison in the regular
season and snapped a 15game NDSU winning
streak.
