This position is responsible for coordinating supports & services for people with disabilities in a community based organization accredited by The Council on Quality and Leadership. This person will be responsible for developing individual support/service plans, providing advocacy, maintaining paperwork, coordinating funds for services and other duties as assigned. This is a full-time position with on-call responsibilities and an excellent benefit package. VCDC seeks an Executive Director to provide leadership in its ongoing and successful mission to increase economic growth in the city and identify community needs and plans to meet those needs. The position is appointed by a Board of Directors and is responsible for the supervision of professional and clerical staff as well as overseeing all routine and creative functions of the company. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in general management, board/staff relations, fiscal management, budgeting, commercial and industrial development, outstanding organizational skills, proven interpersonal communication skills, partnership oriented attitude, and well developed writing skills. Qualifications: Applicants will have a bachelor degree in a related field and a strong background in social work or case management. Applicants will also possess strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to work independently.
