1:37 p.m. — A deputy assisted with traffic control for a funeral
procession north from Vermillion
onto Highway 19.
8:47 p.m. — A deputy
responded to a medical emergency at a rural residence west
of Vermillion.
9:44 p.m. — A deputy
observed a vehicle lose control
due to slick conditions and crash
west of Vermillion. There were
no injuries so an accident report
was completed.

SUNDAY, DEC. 21
11:32 a.m. — Caller
reported Christmas light decorations were stolen from her
yard. Officer responded to
the residence and the incident is under investigation.
2:02 p.m. — Officers
responded to a report of a
two vehicle collision with one
driver sustaining injuries.
Investigation was conducted
at the scene and a female
driver was transported to the
hospital for medical care. No
charges have been filed at
this time.
4:42 p.m. — An officer
stopped a vehicle for speeding and the male driver was
cited for the violation.
4:57 p.m. — An officer
stopped a vehicle for a stop
sign violation. The female
driver was cited for the infraction.
6:51 p.m. — An officer
stopped a vehicle being driven by a male subject the officer recognized as having a
suspended driver's license.
The male was cited for driving under suspension. The
officer was also advised of a
warrant for the male's arrest.
The male was taken into custody for the warrant.
7:51 p.m. — Caller
reported suspicious activity at
their residence. An officer
responded and spoke with
the caller. The complainant
identified several odd incidents of someone approaching or lurking around her residence. The officer searched
the area thoroughly and did
not locate any persons in the
area. Information on the incidents was documented and
the caller was asked to call in
the future if the activity con-

driveway. The male driver
was found to be intoxicated.
He was arrested for DWI and
driving under revocation.
9:14 p.m. — Caller
reported a hit a run where
damage was done to his
parked vehicle. Officers
responded to the scene to
collect evidence. The driver
of the second vehicle was
later identified and cited for
failure to stop after an accident.

stopped a vehicle for speeding. The female driver was
cited for the speed infraction.

4:36 p.m. — An officer
was contacted reference a
civil custody dispute. The officer spoke with both parties
involved and assisted them in
relaying custody exchange
information. Parties were
advised to contact their attorneys for amendments to their
custody agreement as needed.
8:11 p.m. — An officer
stopped a vehicle for not
maintaining proper lane position on the roadway. The
male driver was found to be
an unlicensed driver. He was
cited for driving without a
license.

vehicle strike a stop sign and
then drive away. Officers
responded to the area where
the caller last saw the suspect vehicle. An officer located the vehicle and made contact with the male driver.
Officers investigated at the
scene and were able to
match evidence to the vehicle. The male driver was
arrested for leaving the accident scene where property
damage had occurred.

2:36 p.m. — Officers
responded to a report of an
oven fire. They arrived on
scene and confirmed the
apartment was empty.
Officers remained on scene
until the Vermillion Fire
Department took over control
10:40 a.m. — An officer
responded to a report of a
two vehicle, non-injury accident. Damages to both vehicles was minor and the officer assisted with information
exchange for both drivers.
1:37 p.m. — Officers pro-
vided a funeral escort from
Kober Funeral Home to
Vermillion city limits.
9:37 p.m. — An officer
responded to a single vehicle
accident where the driver hit
a deer. The accident was
documented for the driver's
insurance.
SATURDAY, DEC. 27
12:47 a.m. — Officers
assisted Union County
Deputies in contacting a
Vermillion resident who was
involved in a single vehicle
accident on I-29. The vehicle
owner and driver was located
at his home and confirmed to
be uninjured. He was interviewed regarding the incident
and provided a statement to
be forwarded to Union
County.
1:08 a.m. — Officers
received a report of a domestic incident between a male
