building that was completed
in 1994.
• Dakota Hospital
Foundation (DHF)
announces the beginning of
a new process for funding
requests. DHF is now
accepting Grant Funding
applications from local
organizations during the
months of April & Oct. each
year. The first DHF Grant
Application period is now
open. Grant guidelines &
forms can be found at:
www.sanfordvermillion.org/f
oundation. The deadline for

submitted in this initial
funding period is Fri., Oct.

• Mentors needed
immediately — 4 girls and 2
boys are seeking adult
mentors in Vermillion & the
Clay-Union Foundation also
has one 9 year old boy
seeking an adult male to
spend time with him.
Mentors spend 2 hours/week
with their match-- the
program benefits both
people. Please contact John
Gille at 605-421-5050, email
jgillerrsd60@yahoo.com or
apply online at
http://www.clayunionfoundation.org/ under
the sign up tab. Youth are
being sought throughout the
two counties based on
available volunteers.
Donations to support the
program can be mailed to
P.O, Box 665, Elk Point, SD
57025. Come January, the
program only has $600 in
