VHS Inferno celebrates successful season VHS Dance Inferno awards night held; winners announced Vermillion, SD, May 2, 2016: The Vermillion High School Dance Team wrapped up another successful season with an end-of-the-year banquet at VHS on April 17th. Dancers and their families attended to celebrate the team and their achievements from the past year. The team accomplished many personal goals and triumphs throughout the season. Awards were given to six dancers, as voted on by the entire team: Kylee Retzlaff – Most Valuable Dancer; Lauren Bern – Best Performer; Amanda Finnegan – Tanager Award; Rachel Brady – Best Technical Dancer; Shelby Husby – Most Improved; carter Williams – Up and Coming Star. Tanager Award winner, Amanda Finnegan said, “This past year has been 3x1 4x1 Vermillion & surrounding area, We’re here for you... yesterday... today... and tomorrow! Helping keep Vermillion strong by publishing weekly since 1884... Since 1934 amazing and nothing compares to dancing with some of my best friends. This team has turned into a family and I’m go grateful for this experience!” This will also be the last season for Head Coach Joni Freidel who recently resigned after three years at the helm. “I have loved working with this program and these danc- ers. Although I won’t miss the 6:00 am practices, I will greatly miss the camaraderie, energy and spirit of the girls.
