Coyote Twin Theatre / Red Steakhouse
Auditorium Ribbon Cutting and Open House Held
On Monday, January 23rd a ribbon cutting and open house was held to showcase
the new auditorium with over $200,000 worth of donor-funded improvements to the
Coyote Twin. The VDCA opened the newly renovated and renamed, “Red Steakhouse
Auditorium” to the public for the first showings on January 13th since its closing
for renovation last September. The auditorium has stadium seating, new sound and
projection, screen, lighting and egress.
Generous donations and in-kind support from Masaba, Vermillion Chamber, Rotary,
Community Foundation, Dakota Hospital Foundation, Sanford, First Bank and Trust, the
University of South Dakota and so many individual donors have made this major leap
possible.
The Coyote Twin is Vermillion’s community movie theater. First-run and specialty
films are shown Tuesday through Sunday and are open for special bookings on Monday.
Coyote Twin Theatre is located at 10 E. Main Street. Hours of operation are
from 12:30pm – 12am Friday through Sunday and 6:30pm – 12am Tuesday through
Thursday. Movie and show times are available on www.vermilliontheaters.com
or by calling 605-624-3331. Jason Thiel, VDCA’s Executive Director
