SDHDA To Extend Grant Funding To
Households Impacted By Spring Storms
PIERRE, S.D. – The South Dakota
Housing Development Authority
(SDHDA) today announced that
the remaining balance of the 2019
Housing Opportunity Funds (HOF)
will be used to help families whose
homes were impacted by storms
this spring. In total, $165,000 will be
available.
“It’s been months since South Dakota was hit by the spring storms,
but many families across the state
continue to struggle getting back
in their homes and resuming life as
usual,” said Governor Kristi Noem.
“We are grateful for the FEMA assistance since June 7, but the state has
an important role to play as well. Allocating these state dollars to home
restorations will have a tremendous
impact on expediting the recovery
process for families. The state will
continue using all available resources as we work toward full recovery.”
