many options to utilize for the
foundation of your building.
Most notably, our exclusive
concrete Morton Foundation
System removes wood from
the ground and replaces it with
pre-cast concrete columns to
give our buildings superior
strength and dependability you
can count on. Other foundation
options include columns on a
monolithic slab, framed walls
with footings or trench footings.
Morton buildings feature our
time-tested timber-frame
construction, and our triplelaminated columns are made
up of number-one southern
yellow pine to guarantee
superior strength and
dependability.
Our roll-formed Hi-Rib
steel is strong, durable and
aesthetically pleasing, giving
you a low-maintenance
building exterior that will stand
the test of time. A Morton
trademark for decades, our
steel is .019 inches thick, or
26-gauge, with a one-inch tall
major rib, providing added
strength over the typical steel
from a competitor that is .015
inches thick with five-eighths of
an inch major rib.
“The question’s obvious,”
Michel, a Morton Buildings
garage owner from coastal
Texas said. “Why would you
want to build a building like
this, close to Galveston Bay,
with hurricane threats? My
reply to that is I took that into
account and the engineering
behind the building reflects
it. That’s why it’s a Morton
building.”
Additionally, Morton has
developed a variation to its
interior steel to enhance the
customer experience. Morton’s
acoustical steel has been used
as an efficient sound insulation
system in building interiors. The
innovation is especially helpful
in Morton buildings that may
encounter loud noises, such
as garages, hobby buildings or
smaller personal workshops.
“Everybody asks about (the
acoustical steel),” Morton
building owner Trever
explained. “We use impact tools
and it seems to help out with
(the noise), especially in the
winter time when the doors are
all closed. It seems to do the
trick.”
One of the other things we
hear most from our satisfied
customers is the excellent
efficiency in their Morton.
Our exclusive Energy Performer
insulation package uses six
inches or more of insulation
in nearly nine-inch-thick
walls to keep your structure
comfortable and your energy
costs down. Morton buildings
also boast fully ventilated attics
for enhanced air circulation and
condensation control.
“I called out the
representative from Morton,
they were very helpful,” said
James, a Morton Buildings
hobby garage owner from
suburban Nashville. “They
helped me design the building,
helped me put the things in it
that I wanted like the heating,
the cooling, the insulation and
all the things I was looking for.
So I think Morton building is a
very good building and I would
do it again.”
Morton’s commitment to its
customer doesn’t end when
your building is complete.
Our non-prorated, non-passthrough warranties ensure your
Morton will be at its best now
and for many generations to
come. Our warranties protect
against the wear and tear your
building will endure, including
snow damage, wind damage,
roof leaks and paint fading. The
warranties are the best in the
business and are handled inhouse, including labor.
Thanks to our state-ofthe-art materials and quality
craftsmanship, Morton’s
buildings have braved the
elements and the test of time.
Morton owners take pride in
their buildings, and it shows.
“Having a good guarantee and
a warranty and a network that
I know I could count on is, to
me, a big deal, Morton owner
Nelson said of his facility. “I don’t
want to have to worry about it
every two or three years, either
having to paint it or fix it or
something’s gone wrong and
now it won’t work. It was very
important to us to have a good
… sales team behind it. Plus we
know that if we make a phone
call, they’ll be out here to fix it.”
“If you came up with one
word to describe the Morton
experience, it would be quality,”
said John, a Morton owner from
Tennessee that built a garage
to house his RV. “It was a very
quality process. The salesman
was very professional. The
gentlemen that installed it and
built it were very professional
and very quality-driven. The
end product is a very quality
product.”
Morton is eager to make
the building you’ve always
dreamed of a reality. With more
than 100 locations nationwide,
we are not hard to find.
