The Vermillion
community is preparing
for its annual July 4th
Celebration with a call for
donors, volunteers and
vendors.
This popular event at
Barstow Park from 6 p.m.
to dusk includes music by
C and K Entertainment,
the inflatable’s activity
area for kids (with a $5
wristband), food booths,
merchandise booths, the
Eagles Beer Garden,
Annual Hy-Vee Hot Dog
Eating Contest and a
spectacular fireworks
ANN BREITAG
display by Fireworks
Unlimited. This event is
not only enjoyed by the
Vermillion residents, but
it brings in people from
surrounding communities
which in turn brings
money into Vermillion.
Your donations are
needed! In order for us to
continue to provide the
fabulous fireworks display
and services each year, we
need your generous
donations.
Would you like to
volunteer? Volunteers are
needed to help with the
event. If you would like to
volunteer your time
and/or services please

a 12-year-old boy also

Maria’s fiddle and
traditional wooden flutes
join her husband Anders’
traditional lilting, vocals
and guitar in a musical
marriage. The result of
their playful
improvisation is an
organic, living style of
Swedish music. The event
