It was found that the caller and the parent were in a child custody dispute. No action was taken except to verify the child was well and that no assistance was needed. 07/28/14 17:08 - A deputy responded to a medical emergency in Wakonda. 07/29/14 05:49 - At the request of the Yankton Police, a deputy responded to Wakonda to attempt to locate the mother of a teenager who had been arrested in Yankton. The mother was not located. 07/29/14 13:04 Deputies stopped a vehicle being driven by a man who was attempting to avoid the service of a protection order. The order was served and it was found the man had warrants from Clay and Yankton Counties and Woodbury County, Iowa. The man was transported to jail. 07/29/14 13:05 - A deputy responded to a Burbank residence to check the welfare of a man at the request of his brother who lives out of state. The driver had called for a ride. The caller later reported the calf had been located. 08/01/14 23:34 - A deputy responded to a report of an underage alcohol party at a cabin south of Vermillion. Numerous teenagers were present, many fled. Others who had not been drinking remained. One citation was issued for underage consumption and other charges are being considered. 08/02/14 08:02 - A deputy received a report of a crop duster plane flying repeatedly over a rural residence. Information was obtained and shared on how to file a complaint with the FAA. 08/02/14 09:30 - A deputy responded to an intrusion alarm at a rural residence near Irene. There were no problems observed. 08/02/14 11:30 - A vehicle was stopped and the driver was cited for speeding on 455th Ave near Wakonda. 08/02/14 11:30 - A deputy received a report of a family dispute in Wakonda. Information and advice were given on the procedure for applying for a protection order. 08/02/14 14:21 - A deputy assisted Vermillion Police officers with the response to a report of a subject threatening others with a gun at a Vermillion residence. 08/02/14 15:55 - A deputy found money near a Vermillion residence. No one nearby claimed the money. A deputy responded and found the motorcyclist had assistance responding and needed no further assistance. One person was arrested for Aggravated Assault and Rape. 07/31/14 19:33 - A suicidal inmate was transported to the Human Services Center in Yankton for an involuntary mental health committal. 07/31/14 19:46 - A deputy observed a vehicle being driven by a person he knows to have a suspended driver's license. The vehicle was stopped and the driver was cited for the offense. 07/31/14 20:02 - A deputy responded to a report of a 911 hangup phone call from a Burbank residence.
