While the river has not yet breached the banks in Clay County, state and local of?cials are recommending residents along the river make evacuation plans and begin moving their possessions in preparation. The time to act is now, not once the water has breached the banks. As a member of the business community, please think of how you can offer assistance when the time comes, which will likely be sooner rather than later. As the Chamber is often the place people call for assistance, if there is help your business or organization can provide, please let us know so we can share this information. If circumstances dictate, we may be putting out the call for volunteers so please be ready to help. Announcement: Several local Vermillion businesses are advertising in a Keep It Local Card. This card is currently being solicited to Vermillion residents. This is a legitimate program, but it is NOT a VCDC sponsored program. Enjoy Food and Fun!
