Postseason about to begin for Tanager volleyball By Parker Knox Sportswriter The Tanager volleyball girls have their work cut out for them as postseason play begins next week. Vermillion will be the No. 4 seed in District 8A and as such has to first take on the topseeded Dakota Valley team, which will host the semifinal round of the district in North Sioux City. The Nos. 2 and 3 seeds, Elk Point-Jefferson and Beresford, will square off in the 6 p.m. semifinal encounter with VHS and Dakota Valley slated to play at 8 p.m. Tuesday's winners will play next Thursday at 7 p.m. for the district championship on the home court of the higher remaining seed. That champion advances to play on the home court of the District 7A champion for the Region 4A title on Nov. 6 to determine an entrant into the state tourney in Watertown on Nov. 15-17. As they prepared for their last regular-season match at home against EP-J last night (Thursday), the Tanagers dropped three duals last week, falling at the hands of Beresford, Dakota Valley and Harrisburg. The Tanagers gave Beresford three good games but lost by set scores of 19-25, 20-25 and 21-25. 3 ???3 ???????3 3 ????????? 6 3???????3???????3?3 ????3????? 4 3 ??????????3?3??????3??????????3??3????????3 ? 3??????3???????3???????3??3????3?????? 9 3 8838 48?8984344 458 ? 3 ???????????
