“Right away as freshman they
made good contact.”
Both hit well as sophomores. Alix batted .313 with
a home run, three triples,
24 RBI and 23 runs scored.
Bailey batted .333 with 20 RBI
and 28 runs scored.
The two each hit .322 as
juniors, with Bailey recording

12 RBI, 16 runs scored and
four stolen bases. Alix had
five doubles, a triple, 11 RBI
and 12 runs scored.
While Alix has spent much
of her varsity career behind
the plate, Bailey started her
career at second.
“We lost a few seniors,
and I was moved to the
outfield,” Bailey said. “I fell in
love with it.”
Bailey is a natural in the
outfield, according to Alix.
“Bailey can read the ball
well,” Alix said. “She can tell
people where to be.”

Alix brings energy to the
field, according to Bailey.
“She loves to make
people laugh,” Bailey said.
“She’s hard-working, a good
person.”
The two may push each
other, but there is little
rivalry between the twins,
they say.
“We like to talk each other
up before games,” Bailey
said. “There is a lot of competition, especially batting. She
has more power in her hits
than I do.”
While the two love playing
softball, neither is putting
much focus into playing
beyond this season.
“I’m not thinking about it,”
Alix said of playing college
