That means more than high yields when harvest begins this fall. For Ufford Hills Ag, owned and operated by Stephanie and Alex Ufford, and their 2year-old son, Brayden, lush fields mean they will be able to create a superb corn maze in one of the fields on their property, located at 3691 E. Main, down the road a short ways east of The Bluffs Golf Course. The Uffords say they plan to have the maze opened sometime next month. “The corn is tall enough now, so we are open by reservations currently, and you can call us up and make a reservation through either Facebook or telephone,” Stephanie said. “We have a Facebook page for our business – you just have to look up Ufford Hills.” The attraction will be open on a full-time basis beginning at some point in September. The maze will be open from noon to dusk, and the maze takes on a haunted, Halloween character the last two weeks of October. The Uffords take special steps to make sure the maze is a safe and enjoyable experience for people of all ages. “We have never had a child get lost (in the maze), even in pitch-black dark,” Stephanie said. “If parents are worried about that, we do send guides out with their children. “We have a half-way point also in the corn maze, and there is person on-site there,” she said.
